Role in the project The Finnish company Škoda Transtech was founded in 1985. In 2015, Transtech became a member of the Škoda Transportation Group. Today Škoda Transtech is the leading Northern European rolling stock manufacturer of low-floor trams and double-deck coaches as well as an important contract manufacturer of demanding engineering workshop products.

In addition to rolling stock manufacturing, Skoda Transtech also specialises in lifecycle services such as spare parts, full service, modifications and other maintenance operations. Skoda Transtech also provides various digital services.

Škoda Transtech’s headquarter is located in Oulu and the production site in Otanmäki, the Region of Kainuu, Northern Finland. The company’s sales office and maintenance services are located in Helsinki and Tampere. Škoda Transtech is currently supplying trams to the Finnish metropolis of Helsinki and the city of Tampere.
Škoda Transtech’s role is to bring the manufacturing and engineering experience in addition to passenger information.
