Linz, Austria Intelligent Transport Systems, Johannes Kepler University Role in the project At the department for intelligent transport systems, we focus on supporting advancements in sustainable transportation and developing applications that rely on automated, connected technologies. We aim to provide transportation solutions to support a low environmental impact by using sensor and communication technologies for data exchange between vehicles, infrastructure, and people.

Ever since our establishment at the university in 2018, we have participated in many projects funded by various agencies such as the European Union, Austrian Federal Ministry for Climate Action, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation & Technology (BMK), the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG), the Austrian Post AG, the automotive industry IAV Automotive Engineering, and the University of Applied Sciences Technikum Vienna. Some of our most recent projects are OptiPEx, IAMCV, GH2MOB, ERGODIC, P-Drive.
Our role in OptiPEx is to design algorithms and coordinate the implementation of these algorithms for the living labs in Linz, Austria. These efforts are aimed at optimizing experience of passengers, to provide useful assistance to vulnerable passenger groups and also to improve the safety of pedestrians in the vicinity of the public transport systems. Additionally, we will also coordinate with other partners in this project for timely implementation of the use cases in the three living labs located in Linz, Germany and Finland. web www.jku.at Johannes Kepler Universität Linz Jkulinz
